Change the Story... Quick!

Remember when it broke that Rove was Matt Cooper's source and the media was doing constant stories about how it looked like Rove would be indicted in the Plame case? What did the Bush Administration do? After saying that it would be several weeks before Bush picked a Supreme Court justice, they hurried out the Roberts pick to get the media off the Rove story.

I'm pretty confident we can expect an announcement about the O'Connor seat today.

Republican Corruption

Rove. Frist. DeLay. The chief political strategist for the President and the Republican party as a whole. The majority leader of the United States Senate. The majority leader of the House of Representatives.

This is an issue the Democrats should mention every day from now until November 2006.

Damned If You Do, Damned if You Don't

Administration apologists who've been spinning the talking point that Bush did all he could during Katrina must feel like they had the rug pulled out from under them.

I mean, the more Bush does to be prepared for Rita, including being on the ground (as well as not being on vacation), just serves to illustrate all that he and his Administration COULD have done during Katrina.
